NASA's Systems hacked by a 26-yr Unemployed.

U.S. space agency, NASA's Computer Systems seem to be too easy to be broke-in by hackers, particularly Romanians.
Recently, Robert Butyka, a 26-year old hacker was arrested by the Romanian Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism(DIICOT), for hacking into NASA's server and causing damage to the systems worth approx. USD 500,000.

Robert Butyka AKA "Iceman" doesn’t have a higher education and is unemployed, as reported by DIICOT. During a raid, several computers were seized at his home.
He had hacked multiple NASA servers over a period of time starting from December 12, 2010 and severely destroyed protected data and restricted access to it.
He is under police detention and prosecutors are seeking a court order to extend his detention period and demanding a strict action against this cyber criminal.
DIICOT also stated, "Through criminal activity, the accused severely affected the operation of computer servers by introducing, modifying and damaging electronic data and restricting access to it."

This is not the first time when a Romanian hacker broke into computer systems belonging to NASA. Other hackers namely Victor Faur and TinKode also have hacked the agency's systems and also have been prosecuted for their acts.
Several incidents have occured in recent years when the security of the NASA's computer systems was compromised. NASA is becoming a common and repeated target for the hackers to prove their skills.
These hacking activities are mainly done on any scale for getting unfair publicity or monetary needs or any kind of illegal and unlawful interest.

Observing these illegal and criminal activities, we should understand that we have to overcome the mindset of unethical hacking and committing any unlawful act for getting undue attention and publicity or for any purpose, rather we should use our skills lawfully in some genuine, better and familiar field and seek our advancement in it.
Because a crime is a crime, even if you excel in that act doesn’t give you the right to take everything on granted. After all, if you commit a crime, you'll be referred as a criminal only and will have to pay for your acts.
